Showing of Allegiance

December 07, 2017 7:30pm–9:30pm

Pelican Cinemas, Klamath Falls

Tickets are now on sale for "Allegiance," the film version of a Broadway musical based on the experience of Japanese-Americans incarcerated during World War II.

The film will be shown one time only, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Pelican Cinemas in Klamath Falls.

A brief discussion about the history of Japanese incarceration, including the segregation center at Tule Lake, will begin at 7 p.m. at the theater.

The film's cast includes George Takei, who was incarcerated at Tulelake, and later became an actor best known for portraying Sulu on the original Star Trek series.

Tickets at the door will be $18 per person. A limited number of half-price tickets ($9) are available for pre-purchase at the Klamath County Museum.

The discount ticket price is made possible by funding from the Klamath County Cultural Coalition, the Klamath County Museum, the Shaw Historical Library and the Tule Lake Committee.
