John Welsh Band

December 01, 2017 7:30pm–9:30pm

With a sound that blends folk rock with high-energy Latin, West African and reggae rhythms, the John Welsh Band win over crowds wherever they perform. A world traveler by nature, John Welsh lived and studied in Mexico and Guatemala where he was heavily influenced by the music, language and culture.  After several years of playing with various bands he and his brother Chris (bass) met Nigerian born Courage Eigbike, who brought his reggae and West African influenced sound to their music. Together they began creating songs with the vision of bringing their world music sound to a mainstream audience. The positive message (performed in English and Spanish) and infectious melodies that characterize their music makes the John Welsh Band appeal to people of all ages and cultures.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

December 01, 2017 7:30pm–9:30pm

A varied and talented group of tweens vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, these precocious kiddos spell their way through a series of – sometimes made-up – words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a mistake. Six spellers enter; only one will leave the Putnam County champ!

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny, and touching book and a truly fresh and vibrant score, this bee is one unforgettable experience. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation,  this show is a delightful den of comedic genius.

Content advisory: This family-friendly musical features a song about puberty; parents may want to consider whether to bring children that are too young for this subject.

Tickets can be purchased at Perwinkle Home located at 831 Main Street, Klamath Falls
